The
yearly-awaited Computer Manufacturers, Distributors
and Dealers Association of the Philippines (COMDDAP)
held at NBC Tent, the Fort last October 26 to
29 showcased diverse up-to-date connectivity
products, IT products, services and solutions.
Exhibitors demonstrated their
top of the line software solutions, trendiest
gadgets, office automation equipments and computer
hardware, from audio systems, large format printers,
to notebooks and MP4 and even POS printers brought
in by CONTINUUM displayed at Epson booth.
Most of the displayed products were also put
on sale during the expo.

Foremost leaders
in the open source industry, systems and services
including Continuum assembled at the latest
Philippine Open Source & Voice Telephony
Conference held at Edsa Shangri-La last Sept.
27 to 29.
The event was all about discovering
the best alternative and latest available solutions
fit for the demanding and changing needs in
systems and applications of various business
enterprises. Sponsors, speakers and delegates
alike expanded their knowledge in open source
technology as discussions and tutorials primarily
focused on business applications, programming
and system development, voice and telephony.

Continuum, as a silver
sponsor, showcased the IBM Anyplace kiosk as
conference guide to delegates placed at the
entrances of seminar hall. Another star of the
event was the interactive 32” LCD touch screen
monitor, which served as exhibit directory and
information booth to visitors. These large touch
screens are the newest product offerings of
Continuum, that can run a variety of applications
that cater not only to the food service business
but also to various industries like banking
and finance, government agencies, telcos, hospital
and medical institutions, and many others. Also
presented at Continuum’s booth were the IBM
SureOne POS hardware for specialty stores and
small to medium size supermarkets and retail
shops, and the SurePOS 500 POS hardware for
fine dining and fast food establishments. Epson’s
line-up of POS printers were also showcased
at the Continuum booth. |

IBM Philippines and Continuum
Technology Corporation (CTC) in cooperation
with two of their distinguished Point of Sales
business partners Ansi Information Systems and
Jimac Incorporated participated in the last
Philippine Franchise Association’s Franchise
Expo held at World Trade Center last July 14
to 16, 2006.
This major industry event drew hundreds of participants
as well as visitors day in and day out. A booth
locator software application installed in the
IBM Anyplace Kiosk was provided by CTC. It was
placed near the registration area to give visitors
an overview of the site and participating exhibitors.
With just one touch on the company name a guest
is directed to their desired booths. CTC also
featured other IBM business solutions for small
and medium enterprises such as SureOne POS for
retailers and SurePOS 500 for fast food chains
and restaurant.
With the number of inquiries and positive response
from resellers, once again Continuum Technology
